On July 30, 2024, a vacancy was created on the Board of Trustees of the Sonoma Valley Unified School District due to the resignation of the board member representing Trustee Area 4.

The Board member vacancy will be filled by Board appointment. Beginning August 14 and ending at 5:00 pm on August 30, 2024, the Board will be accepting applications to fill this position. The governing board of each school district is required to prescribe and enforce rules consistent with the law, or with the rules prescribed by the State Board of Education. The Sonoma Valley Unified School District Policy Manual contains official policies and procedures that have been adopted by the Governing Board. Our policy manual was created in conjunction with the California School Board's Association (CSBA).
